If you hoping to be educated on the places below then this is definitely not the place to come. My travel diaries are a light-hearted look at travel which focuses on amusing situations and people rather than detailed information about the places themselves which are already well documented in other travel blogs.

In 1990 my brother David and his partner Laura announced to the family that the were going to give up their secure and well paid jobs in London to manage a fishing club near Mombassa. They started sending out a weekly diary that continues to this day and are a great source of pleasure to their many followers. In 2006 Federika and I moved to a tiny coastal village near Dubrovnik where we rent out apartments in our house. We were fortunate to be able to travel during the winter months and as my parents enjoyed David’s diaries so much I felt obliged to keep one of my own. It seemed a bit of a drudge at the time but looking back at them I was surprised how much I enjoyed reading them so I will be including on my website as soon as I have finished editing them.  So pop back in a few weeks and hopefully I will have started publishing them.
